Look:

With a sleek silver, chrome and matte black design the look of the Sony MDR-XD200 is astonishing. Although it is quite big and bulky the rims of silver make up for it. the headphones have a thin plastic head band which is split into two parts. these two parts fall on the front and back of your head. This means that the head band is very low to your head an keeps the headphones compact (sort of). The ear muffs really sick out from the side of the head. If you have a small head(like me) the length adjusters really stick out of the top of your head and look almost like horns.
The Sony MDR-XD200 have a nice fancy design but they are really bulky.

6/10

Sound Quality:

The Sony MDR-XD200 has excellent sound quality it has a range of 20Hz to 19000Hz and has a bass boost at about 50Hz. The Sony MDR-XD200 has the sharpest high frequencies I have ever heard in a pair of headphones in this price range. The headphones have incredible pans and really surround you in the music. Overall amazing sound quality for a pair of headphones in this price range.

9/10

Comfort:

The Sony MDR-XD200 is incredibly comfortable AROUND THE EARS and provides a soft leather cousin that encases the ears and there for do not bend the ears in a painful way. Your ears could sit in the soft confines of the ear muffs for hours. But the plastic headband won't let your wear them for that long. As there is no cushioning on the head band it is very uncomfortable. after about half an hour of wearing the headphones your start to feel stress on your hair where the headband in pulling and tugging your hair in different directions.
The ear muffs of the Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo headphones are incredibly comfortable, but the headband is incredibly uncomfortable and only allows you to wear the headphones for a short period of time.
5/10

Overall:

The Sony MDR-XD200 stereo headphones are not very compact and there for would not be good in a travailing environment. The sound quality Is incredible for such cheap headphones but the comfort doesn't allow you to wear the headphones for more than an hour. These headphones would be perfect for in a home recoding studio USED FOR RECODING with. these would not be good for mixing/mastering as you cannot wear them for to long.

Overall the Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones are a pretty good pair of headphones that would be best in a situation where they do not have to be worn for long periods of time but the highest possible sound quality is required.

Overall score:

7/10
